These Terms of Service govern your use of CauseCounter, including challenge participation, social features, and donations. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

Accounts and challenges

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your password, and activity under your account. Challenge Directors are responsible for the challenge descriptions, causes, dates, goals, and other content they publish.

Accurate information

You agree to provide information that is accurate, current, and your own. You may not use the website to submit unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or misleading content or to interfere with its operation.

Communications

When you submit the form, you authorize CauseCounter to contact you about your inquiry using the email address or phone number you provide. You may ask us to stop non-essential communications at any time.

Donations and payment processing

Real donations, when enabled, are processed by a third-party payment provider. CauseCounter does not store full payment-card numbers. Before launch, each challenge must clearly identify the receiving organization, applicable fees, refund policy, tax treatment, and how funds are distributed. Unless expressly stated by an eligible recipient, a payment should not be assumed to be tax deductible.

Intellectual property

The CauseCounter name, branding, website copy, design, and related materials are owned by CauseCounter or used with permission. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit them without written permission.

No warranties

This website is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the completeness of website content.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CauseCounter will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated date above will show when the latest version took effect. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the revised terms.
